Personal Development

"“This programme is the best personal development scheme I have attended. It is the best because it was not restricted to just classroom techniques and generic corporate answers. This was a real time programme that delivered real results for me. The 1-2-1 sessions were invaluable and helped me to identify my strengths and weaknesses as a manager and leader. If ever Cascade provides a refresher course I would like my name to be first on the list.”" Team Leader, St Leger Homes of Doncaster

Personal development is integral to our organisational and team development work and runs alongside and complimentary to the work that we do within organisations. We are often asked to coach or mentor individuals moving into new roles, facing new challenges or seeking to move on from their current position. Personal development work may involve a mix of group and individual 1-2-1 sessions and may be a one-off requirement or form part or all of a programme over a period of time or project life span.

Our personal development work is focused on identifying and achieving goals, whether they are professional and / or personal and uses coaching, mentoring, Neuro Linguistic Programming, bespoke and tested techniques to help support and guide individuals to realise what they want to achieve for themselves.

Inside and outside of the workplace environment, we offer a range of support and interventions for individuals looking to resolve problems, find solutions or simply feel better about themselves and their lives. This might be through weight management, stopping smoking, resolving anxiety or worry, relaxation and stress management techniques, dealing with fears or phobias, relationship problems, family tensions, financial worries, confidence building, presentation skills or anything that is holding people back or preventing them from achieving their goals and ambitions.

Recent examples of our personal development work include:

- A number of job progression practical support with, CV, application form and interview preparation related commissions

- Report writing and presentation skills

- Confidence linked to work environment where experiences of childhood were restricting business opportunities

- Relaxation and stress management for someone facing multiple caring responsibilities and wanting some personal “time out”

- One session stop smoking techniques

- Helping someone prepare for a major operation and teaching them pain management techniques to aid recuperation

- Weight management and fitness related issues linked to work absence

- Emotional intelligence and communication enhancements for individuals – why are things difficult that others seem to find so easy?
