Team Development
"“I thought I knew my team prior to these sessions, but learnt a lot and acknowledge that there are many different ways to build, maintain and most importantly keep a good team.”" Team Leader, St Leger Homes of Doncaster
Team development is something that we get asked to do for a number of reasons: leading up to or as a result of a change or realignment programme; to help establish and build team rapport; for conflict resolution; to assist new teams in quickly adjusting to new roles and ways of working; to build capacity and confidence.
All of our team development work is tailored to the precise requirements of the client to meet to specific needs of the team, whether it is for 3, 30 or 300 people.
Our bespoke support and intervention can take the form of offering critique and challenge on a particular service area, business process review across the whole or part of a service or team, practical assistance with implementation to enhance and sustain capacity, embedding new skills and knowledge, guiding and coaching for team leaders and / or team members, learning and development sessions for the whole team.
We use a mix of techniques, including coaching, mentoring, formal teaching methods for group and individuals, games, activities and media that all utilise the experiential learning cycle and elements from Neuro Linguistic Programming, to make our team development work effective, highly practical, fun and informal, as we know from experience that this is the best environment in which to learn and move forward Recent examples of our team development work include:
- A coaching programme for 8 managers restructuring within a directorate to support their development as a unit and individually
- Conflict resolution and team building with a long established team moving into new roles with new targets to achieve
- Away Days with service unit team to support them to focus on requirements, effective processes and performance improvement .
